Nah Lho! Shisha Lebih Berbahaya Ketimbang Rokok

Paris - Kongkow bareng teman sambil rame-rame menikmati shisha... so pasti gaul abis. Tapi siapa nyana, ternyata menghisap 1 shisha setara dengan 15 hingga 52 batang rokok. Itu baru kandungan karbon monoksidanya. Sedangkan kandungan tar 1 shisha setara dengan 27 hingga 102 batang rokok! Begitulah hasil penelitian laboratorium nasional Prancis, Laboratoire National d'Essais (LNE), yang disampaikan oleh Agen Antitembakau Prancis (OFT). Laporan tersebut menyebutkan shisha merupakan sumber utama polusi udara di area tertutup dan sekitarnya. Tak heran, karena ternyata shisha lebih berbahaya ketimbang rokok. "Satu shisha setara dengan sekitar 70 hisapan rokok," sebut Presiden OFT Bertrand Dautzenberg seperti dilansir AFP, Rabu (31/10/2007). Ada 3 tipe rokok Arab dari Timur Tengah itu yang dites. Tipe 1 shisha dengan karbon ringan berjumlah sedikit. Tipe 2 shisha dengan karbon ringan berjumlah banyak. Tipe 3, shisha dengan karbon alami bervolume sedikit. Lalu ada 3 parameter yang digunakan sebagai ukuran perbandingan dengan rokok, yakni jumlah tar, karbon monoksida, dan nikotin. Untuk 70 liter asap yang yang diproduksi shisha, tar yang terkandung pada tipe 1 adalah 319 miligram, atau 32 kali melewati batas yang ditetapkan Eropa untuk sebatang rokok. Sementara shisha 2 mengandung tar 266 miligram, atau 27 kali melebihi batas rokok. Sedangkan shisha tipe 3 mengandung tar 1.023 miligram, atau 102 kali melebihi batas rokok. Karbon monoksida yang terkandung pada shisha tipe 1 yakni 17 kali melebihi batas rokok, tipe 2 sebanyak 15 kali, dan tipe 3 sebanyak 52 kali. Kadar nikotin yang terkandung pada shisha tipe 1 dan 2 setara dengan sebatang rokok, sedangkan tipe 3 setara dengan 6 batang rokok. Meski shisha memang dinikmati beramai-ramai, tapi sepertinya harus pikir-pikir lagi untuk menghisapnya. (sss/ana)
